In this France vs Ivory Coast friendly, an Ivory Coast player (wearing #8) collided with referee Sebastian Gishamer, knocking the official visibly off-balance and to the ground — as shown clearly in the opening frames. The referee took no action, reportedly accepting what appeared to be a brief apology and letting play continue. Under IFAB Laws, this is a wrong no-call: physical contact with a match official — even if unintentional — requires a response. At the very least, a yellow card for unsporting behaviour was required; if the referee judged the contact reckless (i.e., the player could and should have seen the official), a red card for violent conduct would have been justified. Making the situation worse, a second Ivory Coast player (#6, 'FOFANA') was later seen in an uncomfortably close, face-to-face confrontation with the referee during the subsequent pause in play, which itself could have warranted a yellow for dissent. The complete absence of any sanction for either incident represents a significant failure to apply the Laws.
