At 90+8' with Colombia leading 2-1, Uzbekistan pressed for a late equaliser and a low ball was played into the Colombian box. A Colombian defender threw himself horizontally into a full diving block, body parallel to the ground, arms tucked back along his body. The ball struck him at upper-body level. Uzbekistan claimed handball; the on-field referee waved play on, and VAR did not intervene. Under Law 12's handball framework, a defender's body silhouette in a natural diving-block pose — with arms tucked or used as natural support — does NOT constitute "unnaturally bigger body." For accidental handball to be punishable in the box, the defender must have actively extended an arm OUT beyond what the sliding action naturally requires, expanding the silhouette. This defender did not — arms remained tucked. Legal defensive block. CORRECT NO-CALL, MEDIUM confidence. Colombia went on to add a third in the dying moments to close out a 3-1 win.
